Roundup of the latest Premier League drama as the title lead changed hands, whilst battles for Europe and survival continued.

Mohamed Salah’s 84th minute penalty rescued Liverpool a 2-2 draw at Manchester United, after Kobbie Mainoo put Utd in front following Bruno Fernandes’ near 50-yard strike which cancelled out Luis Diaz’s opener.

Arsenal benefitted from Liverpool’s slip-up to go top on goal difference with a 3-0 win away to Brighton, in which Bukayo Saka scored a first-half penalty before Kai Havertz and ex Seagull – Leandro Trossard wrapped up victory.

Manchester City sit one point behind in third after Kevin De Bruyne’s brace headlined a 4-2 comeback win at Crystal Palace, with Rico Lewis and Erling Haaland also on the scoresheet for the Cityzens despite Jean-Philippe Mateta and Odsonne Edouard’s goals for the Eagles.

Second-half goals from Mickey van de Ven and Pedro Porro saw Tottenham defeat Nottingham Forest to move up to fourth, after Chris Wood had pulled Forest level to cancel out Murillo’s own-goal which had put Spurs ahead in North London.

Down in the relegation zone, Sheffield United twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to Chelsea through goals from Jayden Bogle and Oli McBurnie, after Thiago Silva then Noni Madueke had fired Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues in front.

Burnley’s four-match unbeaten run was ended in a 1-0 defeat at Everton after Dominic Calvert-Lewin deflected in a lucky first-half injury-time winner from Arijanet Muric’s clearance, although Everton were deducted two points for Profits and Sustainability Rules breaches two days later.

Luton stay third bottom on goal difference following a comeback 2-1 home win against Bournemouth through Carlton Morris’ 90th minute winner, after Jordan Clark had cancelled out Marcus Tavernier’s opening strike.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa slipped to fifth after Ollie Watkins’ brace and Morgan Rogers’ first goal for the Villains helped them to a 3-3 draw at home to Brentford, after Mathias Jorgensen, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa had put the Bees ahead from 2-0 down.

Late goals from Lucas Paqueta and James Ward-Prowse saw West Ham come from behind to win 2-1 at Wolves, who had led through Pablo Sarabia’s first-half penalty and controversially saw Max Kilman’s injury-time equalising header disallowed for offside.

Finally, Bruno Guimaraes netted a 81st minute winner for Newcastle on his 100th appearance for the Magpies at Fulham.
