Elsewhere, Joao Pedro netted a 98th-minute winner from the penalty spot as Brighton came from behind to beat Fulham a pivotal clash in the race for European qualification, after Jan Paul van Hecke’s header cancelled out Raul Jimenez’s strike.
Ollie Watkins netted a narrow 49th-minute winner as Aston Villa scraped past Brentford in a tense battle in West London to boost their top-four ambitions.
Finally, Bournemouth threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Tottenham after Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson had fired the Cherries ahead, before Pape Matar-Sarr’s unintentional strike and Son Heung-Min’s penalty salvaged a point for Spurs.
