Stat Attack
- This is Forest’s first-ever meeting against Midtjylland in any UEFA competition.
- Midtjylland are making their first-ever trip to Forest in all competitions.
- Forest are facing Danish opposition for the very first time.
- Midtjylland are facing a fifth different English opponent in all UEFA competitions.
Prediction
With an underwhelming start to Ange Postecoglou’s reign continuing after a wasteful defeat at home to Sunderland, Forest really need to sort out their defensive errors and end product sloppiness because there are goals within this team but they just aren’t delivering the right goods.
Midtjylland meanwhile have lost once in all competitions this season and clinically dispatched Sturm Graz in their league-phase opener, which is a contrast to Forest’s form and Franculino Dju already looks like he could be a major threat that Forest’s defence will need to quieten and isolate.
Forest though do look on the right trajectory in terms of attack but it is a case of polishing up sloppiness across the pitch, and this could be that game if the fans bring an electrically daunting atmosphere.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Midtjylland
Result: Nottingham Forest 2-3 Midtjylland
