2025-26 Premier League: Week 27 – Crystal Palace vs Wolves

Crystal Palace look to boost their hopes of Premier League survival against rock-bottom Wolves.

Victory could put Palace as high as 12th if Fulham fail to win at Sunderland, whilst Wolves will remain bottom irrespective of the result.

Team News

Crystal Palace will welcome Christantus Uche back into contention after he was ineligible to feature in their 1-1 draw at Zrinjski Mostar in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League Knockout Play-Off.

Chadi Riad (cramp) and Maxence Lacroix (adductor) are doubtful for selection.

Jefferson Lerma (hamstring), Eddie Nketiah (muscle), Jean-Philippe Mateta and Cheick Doucoure (both knee) remain absent.

Wolves will have Angel Gomes available if he passes a late fitness test, having suffered a back injury during their midweek 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal.

Toti Gomes (hamstring) could return but Hwang Hee-Chan (calf) remains absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host Wolves at Selhurst Park on Sunday 22 February at 2pm GMT, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Palace are unbeaten in their last five meetings against Wolves (W4, D1).
  • Wolves are winless in their last six league visits to Palace (D1, L5).
  • Palace have had a player score a brace in each of their last two home meetings against Wolves; Odsonne Edouard in a 3-2 win in September 2023 then Eddie Nketiah in a 4-2 victory in May 2025.
  • Palace have claimed six points in eight league games in 2026 (W1, D3, L4).
  • Wolves are winless away in London this season (D1, L3).

Prediction

With one win in their last 15 matches in all competitions, Palace had a huge chance to end their rut at Zrinjski Mostar yet they simply weren’t clinical and manager, Oliver Glasner’s post-match interview was worrying because if he lacks confidence in himself then that isn’t good for the player morale either.

Wolves meanwhile did a strong defensive job to limit Arsenal to two goals and ten shots despite having been outplayed by the dominant Gunners, yet they crucially were clinical in their spells on top to snatch a draw when some teams in their position would of let their heads drop at 2-0 down.

Rob Edwards’ Old Gold though are destined for the drop realistically still but they’re certainly starting to adapt and build some momentum ready for next season, but Selhurst Park is currently a tricky away ground for them so this will be tough with Palace currently in a volatile mood.

Glasner though has ex Wolves striker, Jorgen Strand Larsen now within his ranks following the Norwegian’s deadline-day move, so it would be typical footballing luck for him to get Palace to the win against his former team.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Wolves

Result: Crystal Palace 1-0 Wolves
