Nathan Jones has signed a new five-year contract at Charlton until June 2030.

Jones joined Charlton in February 2024 and went on to guide the Addicks to promotion to the Championship via the League One Play-Offs in his first full season in charge.

Club bosses consequently swooped to tie down the ex Luton and Southampton manager to a new five-year contract, with Jones pleased to renew his contract despite having had three years left on his initial contract.

“I’m very proud and delighted. I still had three years left but for the club to come to me and want to continue that journey meant a lot to me because it’s a club that I love.

“We’ve just taken one big step, but that’s only one big step, we still have a long way to go to achieve our goals and I’m glad that I’ll continue to work towards that.”

Charlton Chairman, Gavin Carter added that Jones has created “a really cohesive group” from players and staff to fans, which has earned him an early contract renewal due to getting the club ahead of schedule in their long-term vision

“Nathan has been a key part of that unity and our success on the pitch this season means we are ahead of schedule in our long-term planning for the club. Nathan understands the values of this club and shares our ambition for where we want to go.”

Charlton will discover their fixture schedule in 2025-26 Championship on 26 June at 12pm BST.
