Hull City entertain Championship leaders, Sunderland, at MKM Stadium.
Victory would see Hull climb to ninth in the table, whilst Sunderland can stay top with a win.
Team News
Carl Rushworth is ruled out for Hull with an ankle injury suffered in training.
Steven Alzate (calf) is also sidelined, whilst Abdus Omur (hamstring) and Dogukan Sinik (fitness) are unlikely to feature.
Sunderland manager, Regis Le Bris could hand forward, Aaron Connolly his club debut.
Eliezer Mayenda (muscle) and Dan Ballard (ankle) are both ruled out.
Salis Abdul Samed (muscle), Ahmed Abdullahi (groin), Jenson Seelt, Niall Huggins (both knee) and Aji Alese (ankle) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Hull host Sunderland at MKM Stadium on Sunday 20 October at 3pm BST, live on Sky Sports Football in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Hull have won one of their last six meetings against Sunderland (W1, D4, L1).
- Sunderland are unbeaten in their last six league visits to Hull (W2, D4).
- Both meetings last season ended in a 1-0 win to the team playing away from home.
- Chris Bedia has scored in two of Hull’s last three matches.
- Wilson Isidor has scored in two of Sunderland’s last three matches.
Prediction
Although Hull found some form before the international break, their defensive deficiencies were exposed in a ruthless 4-0 loss at Norwich so this is a chance to just reset now.
Sunderland meanwhile have hit a small rut with just five points in their last five games – during which they lost both away matches in that period, but this is a trip which they currently enjoy so I expect them to come out fighting here.
Throw in the fact that they got lucky with a late draw against Leeds last time out and I can see Sunderland wanting to avoid another scare, especially with their style capable of beating Hull’s vulnerable defence unless the Tigers dig deep.
Prediction: Hull 1-2 Sunderland
Result: Hull 0-1 Sunderland
