Three second-half goals saw Tottenham beat West Ham in a comeback 4-1 win to go sixth in the Premier League.
Mohammed Kudus fired West Ham into an 18th minute lead before Dejan Kulusevski equalised with a 36th minute deflected strike.
Yves Bissouma’s strike and Alphonse Areola’s own-goal in the space of two minutes and 21 seconds early in the second half turned the game around for Spurs, before Son Heung-min wrapped up victory with a 60th minute strike.
West Ham finished with ten men after Kudus was red carded in the 86th minute following clashes with Micky van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr.
Spurs now sit sixth in the Premier League table, whilst West Ham dropped to 14th on goal difference behind Bournemouth and Manchester United.
Speaking post-match to TNT Sport, Tottenham boss – Ange Postecoglou praised his team for their comeback, although he felt that they could of scored more goals.
“I thought we were good today. We had to work hard in the first half but we got back into the game after conceding.
“After that it was outstanding from the lads, good energy, some good goals although I thought we could have gotten a few more. Good day at the office.”
Seven points worse off than at this stage last season and eager to atone for their defensive collapse in the loss at Brighton a fortnight ago, Tottenham made a bright start but lacked much clinical end product.
West Ham slowly found their groove and forced Guglielmo Vicario into a 11th minute save, after Kudus smashed Jarrod Bowen’s cutback pass onto goal apace.
Spurs nevertheless continued to dominate but Son curled a 16th minute shot wide of the right corner.
That miss was punished barely two minutes later as West Ham broke forward and the ball fell for Bowen, who cut a pass across the box for Kudus to sweep into the left corner unmarked to put the Hammers ahead.
West Ham subsequently were forced to do a lot of defending as Brennan Johnson nodded wide, whilst Pedro Porro and Cristian Romero fired wide.
Their resilient defence eventually was broken by a 36th minute attack in which Kulusevski cut in from the right, with his equalising shot deflected by Alphonse Areola onto the right then left posts across the line.
That equaliser soon ignited Spurs’ attacking spark which ensured that they were top either side of half-time, despite Ange Postecoglou’s decision to substitute James Maddison off for Sarr.
That gamble paid off just seven minutes into the second half dominated by the hosts, as a lively 52nd minute move up the left saw Udogie free to cut back for Bissouma to fire in to put Spurs ahead.
West Ham were further beaten just two minutes and 21 seconds later as Kulusevski swiftly cut in, only for the Swede to fumble his touch which allowed Son to curl in via Areola’s deflection which was judged as an own-goal.
Son however wasn’t denied on the hour mark from Sarr’s pass up the left, which left the South Korea international free to roll in under Areola to confirm victory for the North London team.
West Ham’s second-half misery was compounded with Kudus’ 86th minute red card for clashes with Micky van de Ven and Sarr, which triggered a melee between players from both teams.
