Middlesbrough have signed forward, Tommy Conway from Bristol City for £4.5m.
Conway finished last season as Bristol City’s top goalscorer with 12 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions, which included a third-minute winner in the Robins’ FA Cup Third Round replay triumph over West Ham.
The 22 year-old consequently attracted Premier League interest as well as from Championship rivals, but Boro ultimately signed Conway for a fee believed to be in the region of £4.5m.
Upon confirmation of Conway’s move, Boro boss – Michael Carrick commented: “We’re delighted to bring Tommy in. He’s a good age, he has great potential and we’re really excited to work with him.
“He’s already got plenty of Championship experience, and he’s a great addition to the squad.”
Conway meanwhile took to X to share a farewell message to Bristol City supporters to thank them for giving him “one hell of a ride!”

Conway represents Scotland at international level and received his maiden senior call-up in June 2024, as a late replacement due to injuries which saw him eventually feature in the Euro 2024 squad.
His first senior international cap came as a substitute in a 2-2 friendly draw against Finland on 7 June.
