Brentford manager, Thomas Frank is proud of his team’s 2-1 win at Bournemouth in an “even” contest.
Yoane Wissa netted a 95th minute winner from Bryan Mbeumo’s pass after Mbeumo initially put the Bees ahead in the 86th minute, only for Dominic Solanke to equalise three minutes later with a header.
This victory also came a day after Frank lost his father – Preben on Friday morning but the Dane nevertheless was in the dugout to guide his team to a late win.

Speaking post-match, Frank was pleased with his team’s performance despite Bournemouth making life difficult with both teams closely matched coming into this game.
“We were very, very good in so many ways. Bournemouth are a good team, a difficult team to play against,” he explained.
“When I checked it before the game, both teams had scored 52 goals, we had conceded 60 and they had conceded 63 – all respect to Bournemouth, they’ve done really well – but that’s a good picture of our underlining performance.
“We could or should have been up there if we had converted some of our chances and avoided some of them at the other end.”
Frank though is most pleased with how his players managed the game that marginally better in a closely-fought contest.
“You can see that both teams are very even and it was an even game overall. I would say we still edged it, not only with the win but throughout different situations. It was a fair win.
“And we scored two unbelievable goals. Wow.”
Defender, Nathan Collins was substituted off in the closing minutes but Frank has urged fans to “be cautious”, although he hopes that it was a minor injury ahead of next weekend’s final game of the season at home to Newcastle on 19 May.
Frank Onyeka missed the trip to the Vitality Stadium due to “a minor injury” according to the Dane, whilst Neal Maupay had gone to France for the birth of his second child, which Frank hopes “went well.”
Brentford remain 16th in the table but can finish 15th if they win on the final day and Everton fail to take victory at Arsenal.
