Brentford look to continue their unbeaten start to the season against Bournemouth at Gtech Community Stadium.
Depending upon results elsewhere, Brentford can climb as high as second with a win whilst Bournemouth can go as high as 13th with a win if Nottingham Forest lose elsewhere.
Team News

Mikkel Damsgaard is ruled out for Brentford as he recovers from a minor adductor injury.
Shandon Baptiste (shoulder), Josh Dasilva (hamstring) and Ivan Toney (suspension) remain absent.
Bournemouth have no fresh injury concerns to report after last weekend’s loss to Tottenham.
Ryan Fredericks (calf), Lewis Cook (hip), Dango Outtara (ankle), Tyler Adams, Marcus Tavernier (both hamstring), Emiliano Marcondes (foot) and Alex Scott (knee) are ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Brentford host Bournemouth at Gtech Community Stadium in a 3pm BST kick-off on Saturday 2 September, untelevised in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Brentford are unbeaten in two previous Premier League meetings against Bournemouth (W1, D1).
- Bournemouth are winless in their last 10 visits to Brentford in all competitions (D4, L6).
- Thomas Frank’s Bees are yet to concede against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
- Brentford have kept just one clean sheet in their last five home games (W3, D2), which came in a 1-0 win against Manchester City on the final day of last season.
- No Bournemouth player have registered more shots in the Cherries’ opening three matches than Philip Billing, Antoine Semenyo and Dominic Solanke (7).
Prediction
A point against Crystal Palace is a deserved result for Brentford because they just lacked that end product to kill off the game at 1-0 up, which wasn’t helped by poor marking of Joachim Andersen’s well executed equaliser but there is more quality within this team.
Bournemouth on the other hand must reset after they were outclassed by a brilliant Tottenham team, yet they deserve credit for how well they defended to limit their loss to just two goals with Spurs forced to be clinical in scoring their goals.
Brentford however do look the stronger team coming into this match and if they can sort out their current defensive issues at home, I do foresee them getting their first home win of the season here but Bournemouth should give them a fight.
Prediction: Brentford 2-1 Bournemouth
Result: Brentford 2-2 Bournemouth
