Bradford City manager, Michael Duff believes that his Bantams have produced the best performance” of his reign in a 0-0 draw at Oxford United.
Bradford sit third in League One after they suffered their fourth draw in their last five league matches, of which they have suffered 0-0 draws in three of their last four games.
Duff nevertheless felt that the Bantams produced the best performance of his four-match reign so far in their goalless draw at the Kassam Stadium, albeit after a slow start to the contest as he reflected on the result with the club’s website.
“It was definitely the best performance since I have been here. We started the game poorly, but to give Oxford credit, they are a good team. After the first 15 minutes, we got hold of the match.
“We created some good chances in the second part of the first half, and then in the second half I thought we completely dominated.
“The press was good and we were aggressive. It was just wave after wave, with set plays and big chances.”
1,282 Bradford supporters were in attendance despite Storm Boelo rumbling across the UK and Duff was pleased with their support given the tricky weather conditions, as he argued that seeing the fans making the journey is a proud moment which shows the belief from fans in the squad this season.
“I think that tells you more than anything about the performance.
“Those are the special moments. I know it is only 25 or 30 seconds, but it speaks to the appreciation. We are really grateful for all the effort the supporters have made, and they appreciate the commitment from the team.
“There is a positive feeling around the whole football club at the minute. We are in a good place and will try to harness it and keep moving forward.”
