Teemu Pukki and Kieran Dowell both netted braces as Norwich enjoyed a winning start to life in the Championship under David Wagner, as the Canries ran riot in a 4-0 win at Preston.
Second-half goals from Joel Piroe, Liam Cullen and Olli Cooper saw Swansea defeat ten-men Sunderland 3-1 at Stadium of Light, after the Black Cats saw Luke O’Nien red carded in the first half before Dan Neil briefly cancelled out Piroe’s opening goal.
Finally, Tyler Roberts’ second-half brace saw QPR come from 2-0 down to snatch a 2-2 draw at Reading, after Jeff Hendrick struck a first-half double for the Royals.
