ITV have officially unveiled their coverage plans for Euro 2020 as Chelsea Women’s manager, Emma Hayes join the punditry line-up.
Mark Pougatch will lead the coverage with Seema Jaswal and Reshmin Chowdhury also presenting selected coverage of selected matches throughout the tournament.
Chelsea Women’s manager, Emma Hayes will feature amongst the pundits as she faces a potential reunion with ex Chelsea player – Eniola Aluko.
Gary Neville will re-join the team for a second consecutive tournament after featuring in ITV’s 2018 FIFA World Cup coverage alongside Roy Keane, Graeme Souness, Ashley Cole, Ian Wright, Robert Earnshaw, John Collins, Joe Ledley, Scott Brown and Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend.
ITV will also have some international former players providing analyst, with Patrick Vieira, Nigel de Jong and Nadia Nadim offering their insight into selected games throughout the tournament.
Sam Matterface will head up ITV’s commentary team alongside Clive Tyldesley, Joe Speight, Seb Hutchinson and Tom Gayle, whilst Lee Dixon, Ally McCoist and John Hartson will be on co-commentary duties.
Like with their 2018 World Cup coverage, ITV will again have a referee analyst as ex Premier League referee, Peter Walton joins the team to provide his opinion on refereeing decisions and clarify any key choices made by individual referees throughout the tournament.
Michelle Own, Gabriel Clarke and Raman Bhardwaj will be spread across the continent reporting from selected games across 11 host cities.
Throughout the group stage, ITV will show 19 group matches which includes the Auld Enemy clash between England and Scotland at Wembley Stadium on Friday 18 June, as well as Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions clash against Czech Republic on Tuesday 22 June with Croatia vs Scotland airing at same time across on ITV4.
Other stand-out matches exclusively live on ITV in the group stage includes a clash between the last two World Cup champions as Germany face France, all three of North Macedonia’s matches and Wales’ final group match against Italy.
Live coverage will continue throughout the group stage with ITV having first pick for the Semi-Final stage, as well as jointly broadcasting the Final live alongside BBC.
ITV will also show highlights of all matches throughout the tournament which will also be available to watch on the move on ITV Hub, which will be the home of exclusive online content in The Euros Daily Show and Three Lions Raw.
Extra content will be available on ITV’s YouTube channel whilst highlights, news and match previews will be posted on Twitter as well as ITV Football website every day throughout the tournament, alongside fresh Cartoon Commentary from animator, Nick Murray Wallis.
A new series will also take a look at classic moments and reimagine memorable action from previous Euros throughout the decades, whilst various footballing documentaries be broadcast on ITV and ITV4 during build-up towards and throughout the tournament.
Pougatch will also host The ITV Football Football Show podcast with special guests joining him and Townsend across 12 episodes.
During the build-up to the Euros, ITV will have exclusive live coverage of England’s friendly fixtures against Austria and Romania at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium on Wednesday 2 and Sunday 6 June 2021 respectively.
