Bromley Football Club Chairman and Owner, Robin Stanton-Gleaves has been named on the Football Business Trailblazer Award shortlist at 2026 Global Football Industry Awards.

Stanton-Gleaves’ nomination has come after he oversaw the Ravens’ rise from Non League to League One in seven years since he became chairman in 2019, during which he has challenged the established approach to football and prioritised the longevity sustainability and investment at the club.

His nomination also comes just two days after Bromley made a winning debut in the third tier with a 1-0 victory at Barnsley.

He also supported significant transformation of the CopperJax Community Stadium with new office, facilities, training pitches, hospitality spaces, Broomfields Bar & Kitchen and George Wakeling Stand amongst improvements, which has brought the club together under a single roof.

Stanton-Gleaves is joined on the shortlist by Brighton Chairman, Tony Bloom MBE, Brentford owner – Matthew Benham, Chelsea FC Women’s President – Aki Mandhar and Juventus Alexandre Zodmi.

Kynisca Sports International’s Michele Kang rounds of the shortlist, with Kang being familiar to Bromley fans as the owner of London City Lionesses who ground share at the CopperJax Stadium.

Stanton-Gleaves revealed to bromleyfc.co.uk that he is proud of the recognition and reflected on his philosophy of improving the club to find better ways to do things more efficiently.

“To be recognised alongside some of the leading figures in the football industry is something I’m incredibly proud of.

“When I first became involved in football, I regularly heard phrases like ‘that’s just football’ or ‘that’s how football works’. I’ve always been someone who asks why. If there is a better way of doing something, then I believe you should challenge yourself to find it.

“What we have achieved at Bromley has been about building something sustainable for the long term, while never losing sight of the community and borough we represent.”

The 58-year-old added that his recognition is also a reflection of everyone at the club and their efforts to push the team forward to bigger success.

“Any recognition like this is also recognition of the tremendous people we have across Bromley Football Club. Our staff, players, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and partners have all played their part in moving this Club forward, and I’m incredibly grateful for everyone’s continued commitment.”
