US Businessman, Anthony Serafino has acquired a minority shareholding in Bromley Football Club.
Serafino’s investment comes amidst a positive debut season in the EFL for Bromley who are unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 league matches.
Andy Woodman’s Ravens have also reached the Third Round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history, which will see them visit Premier League giants – Newcastle United on Sunday 12 January in a 3pm GMT kick-off.
This fresh investment from Serafino will bring a morale boost for supporters, with the president of Exp. Group LLC – a fruit and veg wholesaler across Americas continent – having acquired shares from Owner and Chairman, Robin Stanton-Gleaves plus Vice-Chairman, Jon Plassard.
Stanton-Gleaves is “very excited” to have Serafino involved as a minority shareholder, with the American keen to help Bromley progress on and off the pitch.
“He has tremendous enthusiasm for the short and long-term vision and ambitions of the football club and is determined to help play a part in our progress on and off the pitch.
“Our commitment to consistent and sustainable growth is absolute and Anthony’s arrival is another positive step forward for the Club in this regard.
“We are very pleased to have him on board and I’m excited to work together with him in the months and years ahead as our relationship develops and strengthens even further.”
Serafino added that he feels “absolutely delighted and humbled” to become a shareholder at Bromley, following discussions with Stanton-Gleaves about acquiring a shareholding position at the club.
“As soon as I met Robin and saw his vision for the Club, I knew this was the one I wanted to be a part of. I am extremely excited for the future of the Club under the leadership of Robin and his team.
“He has graciously welcomed me into this next stage of the journey of Bromley Football Club and I promise to do all in my power to maintain and grow the Club’s success. I look forward to meeting everyone very soon.”
Bromley have confirmed that Serafino will attend the club’s home game against Port Vale on Saturday 14 December at Hayes Lane.
The funds generated from the sale of the shares to Serafino will contribute towards the cost of the new East Stand.
