Midfielder, Jude Arthurs has departed Bromley Football Club upon expiration of his contract.
Arthurs joined Bromley in 2019 after he was released by Kent rivals, Gillingham and went on to help the Ravens consolidate their status in the National League, which culminated in promotion to the EFL via the Play-Offs in 2024.
The 24 year-old proceeded to score four goals in the 2024-25 season as Bromley finished 11th in their first League Two season as an EFL club, of which two of his goals were scored in a Kent Derby double over his former club – Gillingham.
Arthurs continued to play an integral midfield role as Bromley last season claimed a historic first promotion to League One, before they went on to win the League Two title with a 3-1 final-day victory over Walsall.
He however failed to agree terms on a new contract despite extensive negotiations with Bromley and has now left the club following the expiration of his contract on 30 June, which was confirmed by the club in a statement.
“Bromley Football Club can confirm that Jude Arthurs has decided to move to pastures new.
“Despite negotiating a new contract for Jude at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, an agreement could not be reached.
“Arthurs initially joined the club at under 23 level before penning a professional deal five years ago.
“During his time at the club, the midfielder has helped the Ravens to FA Trophy glory as well as promotion from the National League and Sky Bet League Two.
“Last season saw Arthurs hit 200 senior appearances for the club.
“We thank Jude for his services in a Bromley shirt and wish him all the best for the future.”
Arthurs released a statement on his X account reflecting on his time at Bromley as he thanked everyone at the club for their efforts to help him develop into the player that he has become.
“Wow Where do I start from joining as an 18year old kid to leaving as a 24 year old man playing 250 games for this special club. I have had a Crazy journey along the way a lot of highs and lows but I wouldn’t have wanted to do it any other way with such a special club.
“There are so many people to thank but I will keep it short, I would like to thank everyone associated with Bromley Football Club from Mr Chairman , Mr Ceo, The Gaffer , Coaches , Backroom Staff ,Office Staff, Teammates And everyone else in between.
“Lastly I would like to thank these special fans for everything they have done over the years I have been here, up and down the country in your numbers you truly are special. I leave Bromley FC a champion. Once a raven always a raven.”
Arthurs leaves Hayes Lane having scored 17 goals in 217 appearances across all competitions.
