Top-six chasing Everton meet title-chasing Manchester City in a huge Premier League clash.
Victory could see Everton climb to ninth if Chelsea lose at home to Nottingham Forest in the mid-afternoon kick-off.
Second-placed Man City will cut Arsenal’s title lead down to three points with a win.
Team News

Man City could welcome Rodri back into contention following his recovery from a groin injury, albeit subject to a late fitness check.
Ruben Dias (hamstring) and Josko Gvardiol (leg) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Everton host Man City at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday 3 May at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Everton are winless in their last 17 league meetings against Man City (D3, L14).
- Man City are making their first visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but are unbeaten in their last eight trips to Everton (W8).
- Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens have kept clean sheets in four of their last five visits to Everton in all competitions.
- Beto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have both scored in two of Everton’s last three matches.
- City’s Erling Haaland is looking to score in three consecutive league matches for the first time since he netted nine goals in a six-match streak between August – October 2025.
Prediction
Having lacked their clinical end product and quality for much of their defeat at West Ham in a game which they ideally needed to win for their European chances, Everton really need to now pull out a huge consistent performance if they’re to keep pace with their rivals.
Man City though have much higher aspirations but they realistically must win their remaining league games if want to deny Arsenal the title, but they must be more clinical than they were against Southampton in their FA Cup semi-final in which their final touches often were wasteful.
In fact, I would say that City were lucky to even win that game let alone in normal time because they just seemed to lack much quality in their end product, so this is an ideal game given their away form at Everton but they might need to be patient to beat the Toffees’ defence.
I however do expect them to have used their sizeable gap between the FA Cup win and this match to sharpen their play, which should be enough for the win but Everton should give them a fairly solid test.
Prediction: Everton 1-2 Man City
Result: Everton 3-3 Man City
