Forward, Harry McKirdy has joined Bromley on a free transfer following his release from Hibernian.
McKirdy’s move ends a two-and-a-half spell at Hibernian where he failed to score in 33 appearances and spent the second half of last season at Swindon, during which he scored one goal in nine appearances.
The 27 year-old though has failed to establish himself at Hibs this season and the club made the decision to mutually terminate his contract yesterday (3 February), with manager – David Gray wishing him well for the future.
“I wish Harry nothing but the best moving forward.
“His time at Hibs has been difficult, but he worked hard to get back to full fitness over the summer after missing the majority of last season.
“Due to the number of options we have in the forward areas, his game-time this season has been incredibly limited, which is why this termination works best for all parties involved.”
McKirdy subsequently completed a free transfer to Bromley where he will wear the number 13 shirt, and he is delighted to be reunited with his former Carlisle United teammate, Byron Webster who has been at Hayes Lane since both players left Carlisle at the end of 2019-20 season.

McKirdy began his career at Aston Villa where he made no senior appearances amidst loans at Stevenage, Crewe Alexandra and Newport County, before he went on to join Carlisle for one season followed by a campaign at Port Vale then Swindon – where he netted 26 goals in 49 appearances before his move to Hibernian.
