2024-25 League 2: Week 31 – MK Dons vs Bromley

MK Don host Bromley in a huge mid-table clash in 2024-25 League Two.

Victory will see MK Dons stay 11th in the table, whilst Bromley can move above the Dons and potentially as high as 11th if results elsewhere swing in their favour.

Team News

MK Dons will be without defender, Nathan Thompson due to a serious knee injury, which saw him miss their loss at Doncaster last weekend.

Connal Trueman plus loan signings, Travis Patterson and Danilo Orsi could be in line for their debuts.

Bromley could be without Carl Jenkinson after he suffered an injury in their 3-3 draw at Salford in midweek, which opens up an opportunity for Kamarl Grant to return to the starting line-up.

Harry McKirdy and Marcus Ifill could make their debuts after joining from Hibernian and Brighton respectively.

When is Kick-Off?

MK Dons host Bromley at Stadium MK on Saturday 8 February at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • MK Dons drew 1-1 in their only previous meeting against Bromley in September 2024.
  • Bromley are making their first-ever competitive visit to MK Dons in all competitions.
  • MK Dons have won one of their last six home games (W1, D2, L3).
  • Bromley’s Michael Cheek has converted 28 of his 56 shots in League Two this season onto target, of which 14 of those accurate shots were converted into goals.

Prediction

With inconsistency having been their Achilles heel in the last two months with just one clean sheet, MK Dons really need to sort out their defensive sloppiness if want to return to winning ways and push for a play-off spot, although just three goals in their last six home games is a big issue that needs to change.

Bromley meanwhile were absolutely clinical in the opening 51 minutes at Salford yet defensively switched off at 3-0 up and just couldn’t get a foothold back into the game, which highlights the need for more consistency in their overall performances if want to consolidate their mid-table position now the play-offs look a huge ask.

Both teams therefore need to make defensive improvements coming into this game but if Bromley can play as well as in attack as they did in midweek, they should just nick the win if their defence stays switched on until the final whistle.

Prediction: MK Dons 1-2 Bromley

Result: MK Dons 0-1 Bromley
