Wolves moved out of the bottom three following a clinical 2-0 home victory over West Midlands rivals, Aston Villa, in which Jean Ricner-Bellegarde put them into a 12th minute lead before Matheus Cunha’s injury-time strike wrapped up victory.
Leicester consequently slipped to third bottom off the back of a 4-0 loss at Everton in which Abdoulaye Doucoure netted after only ten seconds, before Beto’s brace and Iliman Ndiaye’s injury-time strike wrapped up consecutive league wins for the Toffees for the first time this season.
Elsewhere, Newcastle suffered their second loss in three games with a 2-1 defeat at home to Fulham after Jacob Murphy put them into a half-time lead, yet Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz completed Fulham’s second-half comeback.
Jean Philippe-Mateta’s second-half brace saw Crystal Palace extend their unbeaten run over Manchester United to four matches with a 2-0 win at Old Trafford.
Finally, Vitaly Janelt’s own-goal plus Pape Matar Sarr’s strike fired Tottenham to a first Premier League away win at Brentford.
