Manchester City look to end their seven-match winless rut as they host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Victory could see Man City go second if Arsenal and Chelsea both lose elsewhere, whilst Forest can leapfrog Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens with a win and go fourth.
Team News
John Stones is unlikely to feature for Man City as he continues to recover from a foot injury.
Mateo Kovacic (unspecified), Oscar Bobb (leg) and Rodri (knee) remain ruled out.
Forest have no fresh injury concerns following their home win over Ipswich.
Ibrahim Sangare (hamstring) and Danilo (ankle) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Man City host Forest at Etihad Stadium on on Wednesday 4 December at 7:30pm GMT, live on Amazon Prime in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Man City are unbeaten in their last five Premier League meetings against Forest (W3, D2).
- Forest have lost their two league visits to City’s Etihad Stadium (L2).
- City have scored eight goals without conceding in two home games against Forest at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League
- Man City have scored twice and conceded 10 goals in their last four league matches (L4).
- No Forest player this season has created more through balls than Morgan Gibbs-White (7).
Prediction
Now winless in seven games and utterly outclassed at Liverpool, Man City simply have to view this as must-win if want to get their season back on track in a busy period.
Forest though will relish this game as underdogs despite their own recent blip but they were wasteful in open play against Ipswich, which is a worry because they will have to be clinical if want to win here.
I therefore am expecting a close battle but Man City’s depth and talent could well be the difference.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Nottingham Forest
Result: Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest
