Everton host Wolves at Goodison Park in a huge showdown in their fight for Premier League survival.
Victory would see Everton stay 15th in the table, whilst Wolves can climb out of the relegation zone and above Sean Dyche’s Toffees with a win.
Team News
Everton have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 4-0 loss at Manchester United.
Youssef Chermiti, Armando Broja (both foot), James Garner (back) and Tim Iroegbunam (foot) remain absent.
Wolves will be without Nelson Semedo following his fifth booking of the season in a 4-2 home loss to Bournemouth.
Pedro Lima (ankle), Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore (both knee), Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (both ACL) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Everton host Wolves at Goodison Park on Wednesday 4 December at 7:30pm GMT, live on Amazon Prime in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Everton are winless in their last six meetings against Wolves (D1, L5).
- Wolves have won four of their last six trips to Everton (W4, L2).
- Gary O’Neil’s Old Gold scored four goals across both meetings against Everton last season without conceding.
- Everton have kept clean sheets in two of their last three home matches.
- Four of Jorgen Strand Larsen’s six goals for Wolves came on his right foot.
Prediction
Having been clinically outplayed at Man Utd with little quality end product in an otherwise close game, Everton now need to just be much sharper but importantly don’t let that loss impact their defensive confidence.
Wolves meanwhile will be right up for this after some sloppy fouls cost them against Bournemouth in a lively entertaining match-up, but their attack is just improving every game especially on the counter-attack.
I however do expect Everton to try and keep this as tight as possible but Wolves really should have too much quality here, especially with the Toffees’ final Merseyside derby at home to come on Saturday.
Prediction: Everton 0-2 Wolves
Result: Everton 4-0 Wolves
