Roundup of the action on the Championship’s return from October’s international break.

Wilson Isidor’s 63rd minute chipped winner saw Sunderland snatch a 1-0 away win at Hull to stay top.

Jaidon Anthony and Josh Brownhill found the net as second-placed Burnley won 2-0 away at Sheffield Wednesday.

Second-half goals from Pascal Struijk and Mateo Joseph saw Leeds climb to third with a 2-0 win at home to Sheffield United, with the Blades sat fourth behind their Yorkshire rivals on goal difference.

West Brom slipped to fifth with a 1-1 draw away at Oxford United, having led through Karlan Grant until Dane Scarlett headed in an injury-time equaliser.

Tyrhys Dolan’s 13th minute strike saw Blackburn round out the top six with a 1-0 victory at home to Swansea.

Down in the relegation zone, Callum Lang’s penalty winner saw second-bottom Portsmouth come from behind to win 2-1 at QPR, after Freddie Potts cancelled out Karamoko Dembele’s early goal as Pompey took their first league win of the season.

Marti Cifuentes’ Hoops consequently fell to rock-bottom after Cardiff thrashed Plymouth 5-0 to move up to third-bottom on goal difference, in which Rubin Colwill scored one goal and contributed two assists.

Coventry sit above the bottom three on goal difference following a 1-0 loss at their bogey club, Preston as Emil Riis Jakobsen headed in a 72nd minute winner.

Elsewhere, Anis Mehmeti and Yu Hirakawa found the net as Bristol City won 2-0 at Middlesbrough, despite Liam Manning’s absence in the Robins’ dugout due to the death of his new-born son.

Jordan Clark, Carlton Morris and Jacob Brown fired Luton to a 3-0 win at home to Watford in the Hertfordshire derby.

Derby picked up their first point on the road this season with a 1-1 draw at Millwall, although the Rams had led through Jerry Yates’ header before Mihailo Ivanovic equalised through a late strike.

Finally, Million Manhoef rescued Stoke a 1-1 draw at home to Norwich after Ante Crnac had put the Canaries in front.
