Gary O’Neil’s Ipswich face his former team, Bournemouth in a mid-table Premier League clash.
Victory could lift Ipswich into ninth in the table, whilst Bournemouth can climb as high as sixth if results elsewhere go in their favour.
Team News
Sasa Lukic is set to be available for Ipswich after he missed their last three matches due to a minor groin injury.
Bournemouth will be without Juanlu after he suffered an ankle ligament injury during a match with the Under-21s, but Marco Rose otherwise has no other fresh injury concerns from the team which won 3-1 at Sparta Prague in the Europa League.
Alex Scott (quad) could be in contention for the bench if he passes a late fitness test, but Alex Toth (hamstring) and Julian Araujo (thigh) are still ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Ipswich host Bournemouth at Portman Road on Sunday 7 November at 2pm BST, live on Sky Sports Main Event in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Ipswich won one of their two previous Premier League meetings against Bournemouth (W1, L1).
- Bournemouth won 2-1 in their only previous Premier League visit to Ipswich in December 2024.
- Both meetings in this Premier League fixture ended in a 2-1 result with the away team emerging victorious on both occasions.
- Christian Walton has produced more successful long passes than any other Ipswich player this season (40).
- Marcus Tavernier has created more crosses than any other Bournemouth player in the top flight this season (44).
Prediction
Although results haven’t been consistent for Ipswich, they have at least grinded out draws in their last two games and would of been glad with a point at Hull after letting their early lead slip in the second half, but they really could do with a win to give them more confidence.
Bournemouth meanwhile are a resilient side now that they’re winning and showed grit to come from behind to win at Sparta Prague, which just shows how much belief is in this team and especially in how well they’ve coped performance wise so far with Thursday-Sunday turnovers.
Ipswich though should give them more of a test than Sunderland and Manchester United both did in these turnover weeks last month, so I am expecting a close contest but Bournemouth probably will have that bit extra quality if there is a winner.
Prediction: Ipswich 1-1 Bournemouth
