Leeds United host Watford at Elland Road in midweek Championship action.
With Sunderland and Burnley not playing until Wednesday evening, victory would lift Leeds to the summit if they score at least twice.
Watford can move up to fifth for 24 hours with a win if Norwich fail to win at Preston.
Team News
Leeds have no fresh injury concerns to report following their home win over Sheffield United.
Ilia Gruev, Ethan Ampadu, Max Wober (all knee) and Diogo Monteiro (shoulder) are still ruled out.
Watford will be without defender, Angelo Ogbonna after he suffered a hamstring injury during their 3-0 loss at Luton.
Kevin Keben (knee) and Jeremy Ngakia (muscle) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Leeds host Watford at Elland Road on Tuesday 22 October at 7:45pm BST, live on Sky Sports + in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leeds are unbeaten in five of their last eight league meetings against Watford (W3, D2, L3).
- Watford have lost two of their last seven visits to Leeds (W3, D2, L2).
- Leeds have scored four goals without conceding in their last two home games against Watford.
- Leeds have scored seven goals and conceded once in their last four home matches (W3, L1).
- Watford have scored just one goal and conceded 11 goals in their last four away matches (L4).
Prediction
Firmly in the promotion mix and unbeaten in five games after a clinically dominant win over Sheffield Utd, Leeds simply need to just keep playing as well as they currently are and they should be favourites for another win.
Watford meanwhile have been awful on their travels aside from that opening-weekend win at Millwall, but their defeat at local rivals – Luton just highlights their defensive sloppiness on the road.
I however just can’t see that changing here despite their strong form at Elland Road, and this should be another routine win for Daniel Farke’s Whites.
Prediction: Leeds 2-0 Watford
Result: Leeds 2-1 Watford
