McLaren’s Lando Norris topped Friday Practice for 2024 Singapore Grand Prix.
Norris enjoyed a strong FP1 as he finished second to Charles Leclerc, but beat his rival to the fastest lap of the day in FP2 by 0.058 seconds, as McLaren and Ferrari looked the teams to beat heading into FP3 and Qualifying tomorrow.

FP1
RB’s Daniel Ricciardo was first out onto the circuit in his new denim livery for this weekend, but it was Norris who set the initial pace of 1m 35.522 on medium tyres.
The Brit eventually found 2.323 seconds on his following two push laps to lower his benchmark, although it was Leclerc who found himself quickest at end of opening runs with 1m 32.702.
Norris was the first driver out on the soft tyre and set 1m 32.163 which nobody beat on their first soft-tyre fliers, before he lowered the benchmark time to 1m 839 until Leclerc posted 1m 31.763 with 15 minutes left to top the session.
Norris finished second quickest and 0.076s shy but ahead of Leclerc’s teammate, Carlos Sainz, who rounded out the top three.

FP2
Zhou was first out on track and set 1m 38.072 as the initial benchmark time but it was Leclerc who soon set the initial pace of 1m 32.788 on medium tyres, which he lowered by 0.161s on his second flier.
Leclerc eventually found himself fastest at the end of the opening stints in this session with 1m 31.665, ahead of Sainz and Albon who was the first driver on soft tyres to go quickest as he displaced the Monegasque by 0.015s.
Norris however showed his potential with 1m 30.727 which proved enough to top the session, as Leclerc fell 0.058s shy.
