Wrexham host Crawley in a stand-out League One match.
Victory will see Wrexham stay top of the table, whilst Crawley can climb into the top ten with a win.
Team News
Luke Bolton is ruled out for Wrexham after he suffered a foot injury in their defeat at Birmingham City last weekend.
Jacob Mendy is still sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Crawley have no fresh injury concerns after their 1-1 draw against Stockport County.
Dion Conroy, Gavin Holohan and Sonny Fish are ruled out with unspecified injuries.
When is Kick-Off?
Wrexham host Crawley at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday 21 September at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Wrexham have lost one of their last five league meetings against Crawley (W3, D1, L1).
- Crawley have won one of their last four league visits to Wrexham (W1, D1, L2).
- Wrexham beat Crawley in each of their two previous EFL meetings, which came in League Two last season (W2).
- Oliver Palmer has produced two goals and one assist in three home matches for Wrexham this season (W3).
- Both of Crawley’s two away matches in the league so far this season ended in a 1-0 result (W1, L1).
Prediction
Having seen their unbeaten start ended at Birmingham who were the more aggressive and clinical attacking team, Wrexham need to tighten up defensively but not lose any of their intensity and quality which has seen them sit top early on.
Crawley have hit a slight rut with one point in their last three league matches but did well to dig in to fight back for a draw against Stockport, of which I can see being the case again here from a defensive perspective.
I however don’t see them getting a draw because Wrexham should just have too much quality for Crawley to handle.
Prediction: Wrexham 2-0 Crawley
Result: Wrexham 2-1 Crawley
