Those ranked 4-7 will contest the play-offs with 4th v 7th and 5th v 6th in two-legged semi-finals, with the semi-final winners meeting in the Play-Off Final to determine the final team to gain promotion to the third-tier.

Whoever finishes in the bottom two positions will be relegated to the National League for next season.

  • Crewe Alexandra – Lee Bell’s Railwaymen will target automatic promotion after losing in last season’s Play-Off Final.
  • Barrow – Stephen Clemence’s Bluebirds have climbed steadily up the table in last two seasons so play-offs will now be their target.
  • Notts County – Enjoyed a solid mid-table finish last season but now face a tough test of their quality following striker, Macaulay Langstaff’s exit.
  • Bromley – Considered bit of an unknown given that this is their first season in League 2, yet has the potential to surprise if underestimated.
