Arsenal will entertain Manchester City in a blockbuster opening weekend of 2024-25 Women’s Super League season.
The clash will see last season’s second and third-placed teams meet in North London, with new City forward – Vivianne Miedema facing an immediate reunion with her former team following her departure at the end of last season.
That game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK on Sunday 22 September in a 12:30pm BST kick-off, with the male counter-parts meeting later that day in Manchester also live on Sky in the Premier League.
Chelsea’s title defence will begin at home to Aston Villa in the Blues’ first WSL match under Sonia Bompastor following Emma Hayes’ exit, with that fixture broadcast live on BBC in the UK but date and time will be announced in due course.
Liverpool will look to build upon their fourth-placed finish of last season with an opening weekend tie at home to Leicester, whilst Manchester United are at home to West Ham.
