Fulham and Everton look to bounce back from FA Cup exits as they collide at Craven Cottage.
Victory would see Fulham climb to 12th in the table, whilst Everton can move up to 16th with a win if Nottingham Forest lose elsewhere.
Team News
Fulham have no fresh injury concerns to report following their FA Cup exit against Newcastle.
Adama Traore (hamstring), Calvin Bassey, Fode Ball-Toure and Alex Iwobi (all international duty) remain absent.
Everton could welcome defender, Ashley Young back into contention after he was named as an unused substitute in their FA Cup exit against Luton for fitness reasons.
Seamus Coleman (hamstring) is a doubt but Abdoulaye Doucoure (hamstring), Andre Gomes (calf), Dele Alli (hip), Idriss Gueye (international duty) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Fulham host Everton at Craven Cottage on Tuesday 30 January at 7:45pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Fulham have lost one of their last six league meetings against Everton (W4, D1, L1).
- Everton have claimed eight points from their last five league visits to Fulham (W2, D2, L1).
- Fulham have scored first in each of their last four meetings against Everton in all competitions during which at least one goal was scored.
- Marco Silva’s Cottagers have won five of their last six home games in all competitions (W5, L1).
- Everton have won three of their four league trips to London-based opposition this season (W3, L1).
Prediction
Poor end product has been a recurring theme for Fulham this month and exits in two cup competitions in consecutive matches won’t do much for morale, but this is now a chance to bounce back quickly if can start converting their chances here.
Everton meanwhile have their own issues up front because they were pretty sluggish in their FA Cup loss at home to Luton, with just two of 14 shots converted onto target highlighting the work needed to do if want to stay out of the relegation zone.
It therefore wouldn’t be a shock if this clash is scrappy but I am going for Fulham to edge it because they do seem to have that attacking quality and play, yet their final touch has been their main issue although one clinical moment might be enough to beat a struggling Everton team.
Prediction: Fulham 1-0 Everton
Result: Fulham 0-0 Everton
