Fulham have signed defender, Timothy Castagne from Leicester City for £15m.
Castagne has become Fulham’s fourth senior signing of this summer’s transfer window after Raul Jimenez, Calvin Bassey and Adama Traore.
Fulham have reportedly paid an initial £13m fee, with £2m in add-ons set to take the total fee up to £15m, with Castagne having signed a four-year contract until June 2027 with option to extend for a further 12 months.
Speaking to FFCtv about his move to Craven Cottage, Castagne commented: “I feel very good. It’s been a long transfer window, but finally I’m here, and I’m happy to be here.
“It’s a big relief. I’ve talked to the Manager and I just can’t wait to start training and playing.”
Vice-Chairman and Director of Football Operations, Tony Khan added: “I’m excited to welcome Timothy Castagne to Fulham!
“He’s a versatile and very talented defender with great experience in the Premier League and international competition for Belgium.
“I’m pleased that Timothy has committed to a four year contract with us, and we believe that he’ll be an excellent addition to Marco’s squad!”
Castagne has left Leicester having scored five goals in 112 appearances in a three-year stint with the Foxes since he joined from Atalanta, during which he helped Leicester win 2020-21 FA Cup title.
The Belgian could make his debut for Fulham in their away trip to Manchester City at 3pm BST on Saturday 2 September.
Castagne represents Belgium in international football and has scored twice in 33 senior appearances for the Belgian Red Devils.
