Leeds United meet Newcastle United at Elland Road in a huge encounter with implications at opposite ends of Premier League table.
Victory would see Leeds climb out of the relegation zone and go into 16th position, whilst Newcastle can stay third with a win.
Team News

Leeds have no fresh injury concerns to report after their defeat at Manchester City last weekend.
Liam Cooper (muscle), Luis Sinisterra (ankle), Tyler Adams (hamstring) and Stuart Dallas (thigh) remain absent.
Newcastle will be without Matt Ritchie for the remainder of the season after the winger suffered a knee injury.
Joelinton (ankle) is a minor doubt but Sean Longstaff (foot), Jamaal Lascelles (calf), Ryan Fraser (personal) and Emil Krafth (knee) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off
Leeds host Newcastle at Elland Road in a 12:30pm BST kick-off on Saturday 13 May, live on BT Sport 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leeds have lost one of their last five meetings against Newcastle (W2, D2, L1).
- Newcastle have avoided defeat in four of their last five league visits to Leeds (W3, D1, L1).
- Leeds have never held Newcastle to two consecutive goalless draws across all competitions.
- Crysencio Summerville has been utilised as a substitute on more occasions than any other Leeds player this season (15).
- 10 of Callum Wilson’s 15 league goals for Newcastle this season have been scored on his right foot.
Prediction
Now sat in the relegation zone following a dramatic Coronation Bank Holiday Monday with tricky games against West Ham and Tottenham to come, Leeds surely must win here if want a shot at survival because I otherwise do feel like safety will be beyond their grasp.
Sam Allardyce though needs to inject extra intensity into Leeds’ defence because their marking of Ilkay Gundogan’s goals at Man City was lacklustre, whilst they were lucky to not concede more goals through City’s rushed finishing despite playing well when on the attack themselves.
Newcastle meanwhile just lacked the luck within their end product in their loss to Arsenal because they otherwise did everything else well in terms of their attacking play, whilst they genuinely deserved a penalty if not for the stupidity of VAR but small defensive errors proved their downfall.
Eddie Howe’s Magpies however do have the chance to use their annoyance of how events unfolded last weekend to hit back here, and I do expect them to get the win if they continue to play their usual high-intensity style but with tidier finishing to expose Leeds’ vulnerable defence.
Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Newcastle
Result: Leeds 2-2 Newcastle
