Premier League officials have confirmed broadcast picks for November 2022 across Sky Sports and BT Sport.
With the 2022 FIFA World Cup set to take place from 20 November, there will be only two Premier League matchweeks held in November, featuring nine matches broadcast live across Sky Sports and BT Sport.
Sky will commence their live coverage of the penultimate two rounds prior to the enforced break caused by the World Cup, with Everton’s home clash against Leicester at 5:30pm GMT on Saturday 5 November.
The broadcaster will then air Newcastle’s trip to Southampton at 2pm GMT on Sunday 6 November, followed by a blockbuster clash between Tottenham and Liverpool in North London from 4:30pm GMT that same afternoon.
Sky will televise four matches across the weekend of 12-13 November prior to the domestic top-flight shutdown until Boxing Day, beginning with a Saturday Night Football double-header on 12 November at St James’ Park as Newcastle host Chelsea in a 5:30pm GMT kick-off.
Wolves will then welcome Arsenal to Molineux in a 7:45pm kick-off that evening due to Monday Night Football on 14 November being ruled out, due to clubs having to release players to join up with their countries if participating in the World Cup.
Sky will also broadcast Aston Villa and Manchester United’s respective trips to Brighton and Fulham on Sunday 13 November at 2pm and 4:30pm respectively, marking the final pair of matches to be played before the World Cup.
BT meanwhile will air two matches across November as Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in a noon kick-off on Sunday 6 November, followed by Manchester City’s clash against Brentford at Etihad Stadium at 12:30pm on Saturday 12 November.
Outside of November, there has been further broadcast changes beginning with this coming weekend, as Brentford’s home match against Arsenal has been brought forward to 12pm on 18 September by Met Police, due to the Queen’s State Funeral on 19 September.
Sky will still broadcast the match at its new kick-off time but Chelsea’s match against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge has been postponed, with the broadcaster instead selecting to transmit Everton v West Ham at 2:15pm.
It is unclear if Sky will opt to select Chelsea’s clash against Liverpool once rearranged or drop it entirely from their broadcast selection.
Newcastle’s trip to Tottenham on Saturday 22 October has been delayed 23 hours to 4:30pm on Sunday 23 October, with Chelsea’s clash against Manchester United expected to take the 5:30pm BST slot due to the Blues being in European action on Tuesday 25 October.
