As Lewis Hamilton celebrates his seventh Formula One title, we round-up the best of the world’s reaction to his record-equalling achievement.
Hamilton executed a superb one-stop strategy to win the Turkish Grand Prix and with it the title, ultimately ending the title hopes of Mercedes’ teammate – Valtteri Bottas who endured a torrid race full of spins.
Bottas however was amongst the first to congratulate Hamilton on his achievement, posting a tweet in which he congratulated his teammate.

Bottas was soon followed by several other F1 drivers who paid their own tributes to Hamilton’s historic moment, including Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen.
And of course, a huge congratulations to @LewisHamilton for being a seven times World Champion. What an achievement!
