Swansea City host promotion-chasing Middlesbrough in a huge Sky Bet Championship clash.
Victory could lift Swansea as high as 10th in the table if results elsewhere swing in their favour.
Should Millwall fail to beat Norwich in an early-afternoon kick-off, Middlesbrough can reclaim second with a win.

When is Kick-Off?
Swansea host Middlesbrough at Swansea.com Stadium on Monday 6 April at 5:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Swansea have won one of their last nine matches against Middlesbrough (W1, D1, L7).
- Middlesbrough have avoided defeat in three of their last four visits to Swansea (W2, D1, L1).
- Each of Swansea’s last three meetings against Middlesbrough ended in 1-0 results, of which the Swans won one of those games – coincidentally at home in March 2025.
- Swansea have lost one of their last eight home matches in the Championship (W5, D2, L1).
- Middlesbrough are looking to keep three consecutive away clean sheets for the first time since a four-match streak from November 2015 – January 2016.
Prediction
With a mid-table finish a near-absolute certainty now, Swansea know that this is a free hit for them with eyes on building momentum for next season now but their defending must improve after a lively draw at Sheffield Utd because the attacking quality otherwise is there.
Middlesbrough meanwhile just couldn’t convert their chances against Millwall especially in a dominant first-half performance, so a huge reaction is needed now if they’re to keep pace in the race for second otherwise they’re surely going to be preparing for the play-offs if the Lions win and they lose here.
Both teams therefore have work to do defensively but if Middlesbrough continue to prove strong away from home as they were before the international break, I can see them winning this but Swansea will give them a tough test with Zan Vipotnik in particular one to watch.
Prediction: Swansea 1-2 Middlesbrough
Result: Swansea 2-2 Middlesbrough
