Ipswich Town have signed Dutch forward, Zian Flemming from Burnley for £20m.
Flemming’s move comes after a bright season to the season with three goals in four appearances for Burnley, which took his tally to 29 goals in 73 appearances since he first joined in summer 2024 – on initial loan then signed permanently in May 2025 after the Clarets were promoted to the Premier League.
Burnley however were relegated at the end of last season – in a campaign in which Flemming netted 12 goals in 32 appearances – and after settling quickly back into the second tier, he requested to return to the Premier League.
France Lille expressed an interest in signing him but Burnley accepted a £20m offer from Ipswich for Flemming which consisted of a fixed £17m fee plus £3m in add-ons.
Flemming has signed a five-year contract at Portman Road until June 2031, and is pleased to return to the top flight.

“I will give my all every time I step onto the pitch and can’t wait to meet the supporters. The first game is on Friday against Liverpool, which is very soon, and I am excited to get started.”
Ipswich manager, Gary O’Neil added: “Zian is a player who had an impressive first season in the Premier League and we are very pleased to have brought him to the club.
“He has good quality and experience and has started the new season well, so is a great addition to the group as we strengthen the squad further.”
Flemming began his career with ZSGOWMS then Pancratius and Ajax at youth level, but failed to break into Ajax’s senior squad despite six goals in 25 appearances for their reserve team in the 2017-18 season as they won the Eerste Divisie title that campaign.
He then went on to net six goals in 32 appearances for PEC Zwolle across the following two seasons, during which he spent the 2019-20 season also on loan at NEC where he delivered 13 goals in 25 appearances.
That loan spell earned him a move to Fortuna Sittard where he produced 27 goals in 63 appearances between 2020-22 seasons, before he arrived at Millwall in summer 2022 and adapted quickly with 15 goals in 44 appearances in his first season of English football.
He then managed eight goals in the 2023-24 campaign which took his tally at Millwall to 23 goals in 92 appearances, and led Burnley to swoop for him.
