Lando Norris headed George Russell in a British front-row lockout for the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix.
Norris recovered from a third-placed finish in the sprint to pip Russell to pole in a tense finish to Qualifying, whilst championship leader – Andrea Kimi Antonelli qualified third ahead of Norris’ McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri.
Q1
Audi’s Nico Hulkenberg was first out onto the circuit and set 1m 21.443 as the initial benchmark time, which was usurped as Racing Bulls’ stand-in driver, Yuki Tsunoda posted 1m 14.287 to head teammate – Arvid Lindblad by 0.333s.
Several drivers opted for two warm-up laps before their flier and once everyone set a representative lap time, Piastri headed the order on 1m 12.848 from Russell by 0.091 seconds.
Some meanwhile had to abort their first runs due to traffic but once everyone set a representative lap time, Gabriel Bortoleto headed the bottom six from; Oliver Bearman, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll.
As the checkered flag fell, Williams’ Carlos Sainz missed out on Q2 to teammate, Alex Albon by 0.022s and qualified 17th ahead of Fernando Alonso, Stroll, Bearman, Bottas and Perez.

Once everyone set their first lap times, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly headed the bottom six ahead of; Tsunoda, Franco Colapinto, Hulkenberg, Ocon and Albon.
At the checkered flag, none of the bottom six survived as Gasly qualified 11th from Tsunoda by 0.011s after the Frenchman missed out on Q3 by 0.091s to Arvid Lindblad, whilst Hulkenberg jumped Colapinto for 13th, as Ocon and Albon stayed 15th and 16th respectively.

Antonelli was first on track amidst a sudden threat of rain mid-segment but he and others opted for a double warm-up lap before their fliers, whilst Norris took no risk and laid 1m 11.344 as the immediate benchmark time.
Russell fell 0.151s shy on his flier to go second ahead of; Piastri, Leclerc, Antonelli, Verstappen, Liam Lawson, Hamilton, Lindblad and Gabriel Bortoleto, as many opted for a quick tyre change and get back out but the rain arrived as anticipated but light enough not to ruin the final runs.
