Bromley have signed winger, Jacob Mendy on a free transfer.

Mendy, who can play as a left-back as well as left-sided winger, has become Bromley’s third signing in the space of 24 hours following the arrivals of Kamil Conteh and Shamal George, and will wear the number 17 shirt this season.

The 29 year-old began his career in Spain with Parla and Atletico Casarrubuelos at youth level before he went on to represent Atletico Madrid C and Puerta Bonita prior to a move to England with Redhill, where he scored 11 goals in 36 appearances in the 2017-18 season.

He went on to score six goals in 40 appearances at Carshalton followed by 16 goals in 72 appearances for Wealdstone in a two-season spell, during which he helped them gain promotion to the National League at the end of his first season with the club.

2021-22 season saw Mendy score twice in 53 appearances at Boreham Wood before he moved to Wrexham, where he helped the Welsh Dragons achieve three consecutive promotions from National League up to the Championship with six goals in 78 appearances.

Last season saw him fall down Wrexham’s pecking order and he was loaned out to Peterborough in February, but only managed six appearances for the Posh.
