Fiorentina host Crystal Palace in the second leg of their Quarter-Final tie in the 2025-26 UEFA Conference League.
Trailing 3-0 on aggregate after the first leg, Fiorentina simply must win by a four-goal margin or higher to qualify for the semi-finals.
Palace simply need to avoid defeat or lose by a two-goal margin at maximum to progress into the semi-finals stage.
Team News
Fiorentina could welcome Moise Kean back into contention if he passes a late fitness test, having been recovering from a tibia injury in recent weeks.
Dodo is suspended after he picked up his third booking of the campaign in the first leg.
Fabiano Parsi (foot) and Niccolo Fortini (back) are unlikely to return but Tariq Lamptey (ACL) will again be definitely absent.
Palace manager, Oliver Glasner is set to recall Jean-Philippe Mateta to the starting line-up after he was dropped to the substitutes bench in their 2-1 Premier League victory at home against Newcastle, in which Jorgen Strand Larsen started in his place.
Evann Guessand, Cheick Doucoure (both knee) and Eddie Nketiah (hamstring) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Fiorentina host Palace at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday 16 April at 9pm CEST (8pm BST), live on TNT Sports 3 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Fiorentina lost 2-0 in their only previous meeting against Palace in all competitions, which came in the first leg of this tie.
- Palace are making their first competitive visit to Fiorentina in all UEFA competitions.
- Fiorentina have kept a single clean sheet at home in this season’s competition (W4, L2), which came in their opening League Phase fixture in a 2-0 win against Sigma Olomouc.
- Palace’s three away goals in the knockout stages have been scored by Ismaila Sarr (W1, D1).
Prediction
In desperate need of a win by four goals or more, Fiorentina ideally need to get the opening goal as early as possible otherwise they will need serious luck if they’re to turn this tie around after a defensive mess against a dominant Palace in South London.
Palace meanwhile might have the advantage of their 3-0 aggregate lead but this tie still isn’t done mathematically if they have their own away defensive meltdown, so they just need to keep their composure and patient like they were in their win over Newcastle to get the job done.
Fiorentina though will be right up for this now that they’ve eased their relegation fears in Serie A with a clinically narrow win over Lazio, but I do think that Palace will have enough strength and quality to snatch something here.
Prediction: Fiorentina 1-1 Crystal Palace
