2025-26 Premier League: Week 32 – Burnley vs Brighton

Relegation-battling Burnley face a difficult test against Brighton & Hove Albion at Turf Moor.

Scott Parker’s Clarets will remain second-bottom regardless of the result, whilst Brighton can move up to eighth with a win if Everton lose at Brentford.

Team News

Josh Laurent is suspended for Burnley following his red card in their 3-1 loss at Fulham before the international break.

Hannibal Mejbri is ruled out with a thigh injury.

Mike Tresor (ankle), Zeki Amdouni (knee), Josh Cullen (ACL), Conor Roberts, Axel Tuanzebe (both Achilles) and Jordan Beyer (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Brighton will be without Lewis Dunk who is suspended for their next two matches, having picked up his tenth booking of the season in their 2-1 home win against Liverpool before the international break.

Jack Hinshelwood is available after he withdrew from England’s Under-23s squad due to a minor knee injury.

Stefanos Tzimas (ACL) and Adam Webster (knee) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Burnley face Brighton at Turf Moor on Saturday 11 April at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Burnley have won one of their last nine meetings against Brighton (W1, D5, L3).
  • Brighton have lost just one of their six previous Premier League trips to Burnley (W2, D3, L1)
  • Two of Brighton’s last four visits to Burnley ended in 2-1 victories, whilst the other two clashes at Turf Moor ended in 1-1 draws.
  • Burnley have failed to score in two of their last three home matches (D1, L2), except for a 4-3 loss to Brentford in February 2026.
  • Brighton have won four of their last five matches (W4, L1).

Prediction

With relegation now all but mathematically likely barring a miraculous turnaround, Burnley realistically must treat this run-in as preparation for next season and try to cut out the defensive and disciplinary issues which cost them victory at Fulham.

Brighton meanwhile have four wins in their last five and will view this as a big opportunity to lay a launchpad for their run-in, especially with other teams around them meeting this weekend so this is a chance that they must take if want to build on their pre-break momentum.

My initial thought is that Burnley could go defensive and try to get something against the run of play but I do think that Brighton will have enough quality to win this.

Prediction: Burnley 1-2 Brighton

Result: Burnley 0-2 Brighton
