Portsmouth host league leaders, Coventry City in a huge Championship clash at Fratton Park.
Victory could put Portsmouth as high as eighth in the table depending on results elsewhere, whilst Coventry would stay top regardless of the result but a win would secure their place at the summit for another matchweek.

When is Kick-Off?
Portsmouth host Coventry at Fratton Park on Tuesday 21 October at 7:45pm BST, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Portsmouth are unbeaten in four of their last six league meetings against Coventry (W3, D1, L2).
- Coventry are winless in their last five visits to Portsmouth (D1, L4).
- Portsmouth have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight home games against Coventry, which came in a 2-0 win in March 2013 in League One.
- Yang Min-hyeok has scored in Portsmouth’s last two home games (W1, D1).
- Coventry have scored nine goals and kept clean sheets in their last three away games (W2, D1).
Prediction
Although Portsmouth aren’t likely to challenging for promotion, they have done a solid job to find themselves mid-table and having had to weather Leicester’s attacking intent, they defended robustly and were clinical with their second-half opportunities.
Coventry meanwhile just seem unstoppable even though they did need two quick-fire clinical goals to beat Blackburn, but this is a banana skin because they saw fellow promotion challengers – Middlesbrough lose here before the international break, so can’t underestimate this challenge.
Nevertheless this will be a tough fight but I fancy Coventry to find a way past Portsmouth with confidence high across the pitch.
Prediction: Portsmouth 1-2 Coventry
Result: Portsmouth 1-2 Coventry
