Roundup of latest Sky Bet Championship action as the top two continued to set the pace. 

Quick-fire second-half goals from Victor Torp and Brandon Thomas-Asante saw Coventry stay top with a 2-0 win at home to Blackburn.

Middlesbrough briefly went top after Cedric Kipre’s own-goal and Morgan Whittaker’s finish saw them beat Ipswich 2-1 at Riverside Stadium, despite Dara O’Shea’s header having cost them a clean sheet.

Sorba Thomas’ 36th-minute winner saw Stoke end their four-match winless streak to go third with a 1-0 home win over Wrexham.

Leicester slipped to fourth after Aaron Ramsey’s finish was cancelled out by John Swift’s equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Portsmouth.

West Brom climbed to fifth with a 2-1 victory at home against Preston as Mikey Johnston and Isaac Price found the net, before Michael Smith netted the Lilywhites’ consolatory goal.

First-half goals from Femi Azeez and Mihailo Ivanovic saw Millwall round out the top six with a 2-1 win at London rivals, QPR, despite Rumarn Burrell’s consolatory effort for the hosts.

Down in the relegation zone, Sheffield United moved off the foot of the table with a 1-0 victory over Watford at Bramall Lane through Callum O’Hare’s close-range winner.

Sheffield Wednesday consequently slipped to rock bottom with a 2-1 loss at Charlton as Jamal Lowe’s second-half goal proved consolatory amidst a red card for Ethan Horvath, after Sonny Carey and Reece Burke wrapped up the Addicks’ win by half time.

Stanley Mills’ 14th-minute winner lifted Oxford United out of the relegation zone at Blackburn’s expense with a 1-0 win at home to Derby.

Elsewhere, Mark Sykes’ 73rd-minute winner saw Bristol City clinch a narrow victory at former boss, Liam Manning’s Norwich.

Jay Stansfield scored twice as Birmingham suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Hull amidst a red card for Jack Robinson, whose own-goal initially put the Tigers ahead prior to Stansfield’s first goal before Regan Slater and Joe Gelhardt wrapped up the visitors’ win.

Finally, Southampton played out a goalless draw at home to Swansea.
