Bromley have signed defender, Lakyle Samuel on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
The move marks Samuel’s first loan of his career and maiden spell at an EFL club, having spent his entire career so far in Man City’s youth academy.
Samuel’s arrival brings positional versatility in defence as he can play in the right-back and centre-back positions, which will boost Andy Woodman’s options in the former position due to Carl Jenkinson’s current absence with a hip injury.
In a brief social-media statement, Bromley expressed their delight at signing Samuel on loan for the season but the defender was unavailable for publicity shots due to his involvement in England’s Under-20s squad this international window.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of full-back Lakyle Samuel on a season-long loan from Premier League side Manchester City.”

Samuel is Bromley’s third loan signing of the summer and again from a Premier League club after Woodman’s Ravens secured the return of Ben Krauhaus in July from Brentford, followed by Crystal Palace forward – Jemiah Umolu in late August.
The 19-year-old will be available to make his debut for Bromley away at Oldham on Saturday 13 September at 3pm BST.
