Guide to all the action as F1 returns from the summer break with a trip to Zandvoort for the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix.
McLaren’s Oscar Piastri leads his teammate, Lando Norris by just nine points heading into the final ten rounds of the season, with both drivers keen to seize the title-race initiative in Zandvoort.
Further back, Max Verstappen arrives at his home race sat third with a 15-point lead over Mercedes’ George Russell as the pair battle over the final top-three spot in the drivers’ standings, although the title still isn’t mathematically impossible in theory.
McLaren on 559 points meanwhile are on course for consecutive constructor titles with a 299-point lead over Ferrari, with the Scuderia locked in a fight for second with Mercedes who sit 24 points behind in third.
Now, here is a full guide to everything that you need to know ahead of 2025 Dutch GP weekend.

Four Key Pointers
- Given the high-speed sweeping nature of the circuit, Zandvoort will require low downforce and top speed in order to maximise performance across a single lap.
- As is traditional after the summer break, many teams will be expected to bring upgrades but some teams will of already switched focus to next season’s car and stopped adding upgrades.
- Avoiding traffic on outlaps after pit stops will be key to executing the undercut strategy, whilst pit stop timing could too be key if the Safety Car is deployed.
- With rain forecast across parts of the weekend, teams could face unpredictable conditions from session to session which could mix the order up especially with the race forecast to be dry unlike other sessions.
Last Time Out
Norris made a slow getaway from pole position in 2024 to lose the lead to Verstappen but managed to pass the now-four-time world champion on lap 18 for victory, as the Dutchman settled for second whilst Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc rounded out the podium from Piastri.
