2024-25 Premier League: Week 36 – Fulham vs Everton

Fulham look to reignite their push for a top-eight finish against Everton in a Premier League clash.

Victory will see Fulham climb to eighth if Brentford and Brighton both fail to win elsewhere, whilst Everton can move up to 13th with a win if Wolves fail to beat Brentford.

Team News

Harrison Reed is ruled out for Fulham after he suffered a calf injury during their 1-0 loss at Aston Villa.

Rodrigo Muniz (Achilles) and Reiss Nelson (hamstring) remain absent.

Everton could welcome Abdoulaye Doucoure back into contention after he missed their 2-2 draw at home to Ipswich for personal reasons.

Orel Mangala (knee), Jesper Lindstrom (hernia) and James Tarkowski (hamstring) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Fulham host Everton at Craven Cottage on Saturday 10 May at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Having been the only one between 8-11th to suffer defeat last weekend, Fulham now need to be more clinical than they were at Villa because they can’t afford to drop more points if Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton win elsewhere – especially with potential European qualification at stake.

Everton meanwhile were a team of two halves against Ipswich because they looked aggressive and confident in the first half, yet were a bit sloppy in the second half to blow their two-goal lead but a point is still positive in their dead rubber battle to avoid finishing last of the 17 survivors.

My initial instinct is that Everton cold get a draw if play well but the fact that this is must-win surely will motivate Fulham to get a crucial result to keep themselves in the top-eight mix.

Prediction: Fulham 2-1 Everton

Result: Fulham 1-3 Everton
