All five home nations have discovered their UEFA Qualifying groups for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
England begin life under new manager – Thomas Tuchel in Group K, where they will face Serbia – who they beat in their UEFA Euro 2024 opener in June, whilst Albania, Latvia and Andorra complete their group.
Steve Clarke’s Scotland will be in Group C alongside the loser of Portugal’s Nations League Quarter-Final against Denmark, with Greece and Belarus also in their group.
Craig Bellamy’s Wales were drawn into Group J with Belgium, North Macedonia, Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein.
Northern Ireland will be in Group A alongside the winner of Germany’s Nations League Quarter-Final against Italy, with Slovakia and Luxembourg completing their group.
Republic of Ireland were drawn into Group F alongside the winner of Portugal’s Nations League Quarter-Final against Denmark, with Hungary and Armenia also in their group.
Those in four-team Groups A-F will commence their Qualifying campaigns in September 2025, whilst those in five-team Groups G-L will kick off their Qualifying campaigns in March 2025.
The 12 group winners will secure automatic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held across Canada, Mexico and USA from 11 June – 19 July 2026.
The group runners-ups will progress to the play-offs to determine the final four qualifiers, alongside the four best Nations League teams outside of the top two across all qualifying groups who complete the line-up of 16 play-off teams.
