Title-chasing Arsenal host relegation battling Everton at the Emirates Stadium.
Victory will see Arsenal climb to second in the table until at least Sunday evening, whilst Everton can stay 15th with a win.
Team News
Arsenal could welcome Oleksandr Zinchenko back into contention after a muscle injury kept him out of their last two matches.
Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori could both return from knee injuries.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White remain sidelined with knee injuries.
Everton could have Michael Keane available after he emerged as a late doubt for their eventually postponed Merseyside derby against Liverpool, having suffered a minor knee injury which kept him out of their home win over Wolves.
Youssef Chermiti (foot), James Garner (back) and Tim Iroegbunam (foot) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Arsenal host Everton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday 14 December at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Arsenal have won four of their last five meetings against Everton (W4, L1).
- Everton have won one of their five trips to Arsenal since Mikel Arteta took charge of the Gunners (W1, L4).
- Gabriel Martinelli has scored three goals in two of his last three home appearances for Arsenal against Everton.
- Arsenal have scored five goals in their last two league matches at home without conceding.
- Everton are yet to score away in London this season (D1, L1).
Prediction
Following their demolition of Monaco in midweek Champions League action and with three clean sheets in their last three home games in all competitions, Arsenal just need to continue that momentum if want to continue their title push.
Everton though will be much fresher following the postponement of the Merseyside derby after a clinical win over Wolves, but I expect them to go more defensive because this isn’t an easy place for them to come based on their away form.
If Sean Dyche’s Toffees can defend well then they might be lucky to nick a point but I can’t see Arsenal slipping up.
Prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Everton
Result: Arsenal 0-0 Everton
