Dinamo Zagreb host Celtic in a crucial league phase fixture in 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.
Victory will put Dinamo Zagreb up to 13th ahead of the late kick-offs, whilst Celtic can go sixth for at least a few hours with a win.
Team News
Bruno Petkovic is a major doubt for Dinamo due to an adductor injury.
Juan Cordoba (knee), Petar Sucic (foot) and Josip Misic (calf) are ruled out.
Celtic have no fresh injury concerns following their Scottish Premiership win over Hibernian.
Odin Thiago Holm remains sidelined with a calf injury.
When is Kick-Off?
Dinamo Zagreb host Celtic at Stadion Maksimir on Tuesday 10 December at 6:45pm CET (5:45pm UK Time), live on TNT Sport 2 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Dinamo have won three of their six previous meetings against Celtic in all UEFA competitions (W3, L3).
- Celtic have lost all three previous trips to Dinamo in all UEFA competitions (L3).
- Dinamo have kept just one clean sheet at home to Celtic across all UEFA competitions.
- No Dinamo player has produced more dribbles in the league phase than Martin Baturina, who has made 18 dribbles in five appearances.
- One of Daizen Maeda’s three goals for Celtic in the league phase was scored away from home.
Prediction
In a state of awful home form and winless in their last five in all competitions, Dinamo know that this is must-win with Arsenal and AC Milan to come in January – of which both games won’t be easy.
Celtic meanwhile are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions which will give them hope of a first win on Zagreb’s home turf, as the Hoops look to end their seven-year winless away run in the Champions League.
Dinamo though do have Marko Pjaca within their available squad selection but given their form in contrast to Celtic’s, I can see the Hoops nicking a first away win in this fixture.
Prediction: Dinamo Zagreb 1-2 Celtic
Result: Dinamo Zagreb 0-0 Celtic
