Solihull Moors meet Bromley in a blockbuster second round tie in the 2024-25 FA Cup.
Victory would see either Solihull Moors or Bromley progress to the third round for the first time in their history.
Team News
Solihull Moors have no fresh injury issues to report ahead of this match.
Bromley also have no fresh injury issues to report following their 2-2 draw at Walsall in midweek.
When is Kick-Off?
Solihull Moors host Bromley at Damson Park on Sunday 1 December at 3:15pm GMT, live on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Solihull Moors’ first FA Cup Proper meeting against Bromley.
- Bromley have won one of eight previous visits to Solihull Moors in all competitions (W1, D2, L5).
- Solihull Moors failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six meetings against Bromley in all competitions.
- Bromley’s Michael Cheek has scored three goals in his last two appearances against Solihull Moors.
- Solihull Moors have won one of their last eight FA Cup ties against EFL opposition (W1, L7), which saw them beat Scunthorpe 3-2 in Round One in 2020-21 edition.
- Bromley have lost one of their last five FA Cup ties against lower league opposition (W4, L1), which saw them lose to Hereford in October 2022 in QR4.
Prediction
Having suffered penalty shootout-out heartbreak at Wembley in a National League Play-Off Final for the ages in May, Solihull will have the motivation for revenge with home advantage to boot in this blockbuster tie.
Solihull Moors though have kept just one clean sheet in their last four during which they lost here 4-3 to Hartlepool in a National League thriller in their last home game, so their defending will need to be solid because their attack otherwise is pretty strong.
Bromley meanwhile have lost two of their last 11 games in all competitions and have just three goalscoring blanks all season, which is a huge positive attack wise but their defence concede too many silly goals either from set pieces or counter-attacks.
Either way this game already feels like it could be one of those FA Cup thrillers but for me, Bromley should win this if they continue their attacking momentum and ideally learn to tighten up if leading towards the end.
Prediction: Solihull Moors 2-3 Bromley
