2024-25 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – Man City vs Feyenoord

Man City host Feyenoord in the league phase of 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.

Victory would lift Man City into the top eight, whilst Feyenoord will leapfrog City and move into the knockout play-off seeded positions.

Man City host Feyenoord at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday 26 November at 8pm GMT, live on Amazon Prime in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Man City won both previous Champions League meetings against Feyenoord (W2).
  • Feyenoord lost 1-0 on their single previous visit to Man City in November 2017 (L1).
  • Man City are yet to concede to Feyenoord in the Champions League.
  • Phil Foden has scored in each of Man City’s last three Champions League games.
  • Antoni Milambo has scored in each of Feyenoord’s last two away trips in this competition, during which the Dutch club netted three goals in both matches.

Prediction

Now winless in five games, Man City have to view this as a winnable game to stop their rut before visiting Liverpool on Sunday, yet they were wasteful and lacked much confidence in their loss to Spurs which is pretty alarming.

A huge improvement is therefore needed here if they’re to avoid another humiliation, but they can use their late attacking effort against Tottenham as a base to build upon here.

Feyenoord however will fancy their chances if can get at City’s shaky defence but their defence is yet to keep a clean sheet, whilst Gimenez is a loss in attack but they do have plenty of attacking quality to worry City.

I however just can’t see City losing this if they can play their best and score first which will surely reignite their confidence.

Prediction: Man City 2-0 Feyenoord

Result: Man City 3-3 Feyenoord
